They don't make home invasion films quite like this anymore.
Something about this being of 2008 quality makes it feel more authentic than the polished horror movies of today. This movie spooked 13-year-old me, and it still got 22-year-old me quite a few times. "Because you were home" will never not be entirely bone-chilling.

Re: this individual movie, it's not as bad I remember it being. There's a lot of cheese and some really bad outfits, but also great characters and a fun, over-the-top Las Vegas dance competition.

Probably my favorite Step Up film for a number of reasons: the soundtrack, the story, and the dance numbers (flash mobs are much more fun than dance battles IMO).
Also, in logging this I'm realizing the movie came out in 2012 (!!!) and somehow it feels like yesterday that I watched it in theatres.
