  I know it's a short film but I wished it was longer I still have so many questions. A part of my Algerian family lived in the 19th arrondissement at the same period of time and I wonder if they had a similar experience as the narrator of the film. I have the impression that in Paris you had a rather "liberty" of going places that would help you get together with your friends and forget for a brief moment…

  Here is a quote that I loved from the movie :

  After a breakfast of red berries, Ushatik the bear took his morning walk through Yakutsk. We went with him. Since you can never tell how a bear will react to a camera, we were offered the protection of an armed policeman. Since we’re much more frightened of policemen than we are of bears, we politely declined.

  I always lived with the thought that cars were stupid, and we looked very dumb riding our little silly sheet metal box, and I am happy and grateful that Jacques Tati made a film about it
