Judi Dench played a creep. Cate Blanchett (also a creep), wtf. This movie was so fucked up, and thrilling. But you can pretty much predict the ending around the last 30 minutes. The movie did make me want to buy the book though!

We Live in Time 2024
Although, the acting from Florence and Andrew, as always, was amazing. There was too much going on to paint a picture. I didn’t really like the time jumping, but I understood the concept that was being conveyed. As beautiful and heartbreaking this movie was, I felt like it wasn’t worth the hype.

This shit was so ahead of its time (drag queens, gay sex, throuples, that cunty emcee.) At first I lol’ed then I serioused. You can sense the shift in tone of the story as Nazi Germany comes to rise. I was hoping that ending would’ve been different, but I understand why it ended the way it did. The story that was told more than 50 years ago, is still very applicable to the events of today. Which is frightening and disheartening. Despite the feeling of loss in the end, Cabaret is a movie about moving on and moving forward.
