Thoroughly entertaining war movie inspired by a true story I just could not look past the fact that this inspiring story of 300 men trying to fight off mass armies also had to encounter literal creatures as well(?). Took away from the story imo. Also liked the way Zack Snyder shot it

Gladiator II 2024
Overhated sequel to one of the greatest movies of all time because how do you follow it up, even if it’s 25 years later. There are some stuff that is just blatantly wrong historically (i.e. reading newspapers in 200 AD) but the movie is still a ton of fun and has some strong performances. It also does well paying tribute to the first movie. The dialogue is much weaker in this film but still does enough to keep it moving and keep the plot interesting.

Not a big musical guy but thought this one was well done. Cynthia Erivo is so talented and Grande is great as well but I found it hard to ignore the fact that it is Ariana Grande and not Glinda, which speaks more to how accomplished she is off the big screen then anything else. Do NOT recommend on a hangover.
