Best submarine movie and it’s not even close. This movie never feels boring considering almost all of it takes place inside a submarine. The acting in this movie is superb. The power struggle between the captain (Gene Hackman - RIP) and the executive officer (Denzel Washington) adds to the tension this movie builds up with the scenario leading to the possible launching of nuclear missiles. On a final note: I can’t help but think the name of the sub, USS Alabama, is very fitting for the title of this movie.

Dune: Part Two 2024
Definitely better than the first one. This movie’s biggest strengths are the sound design and the cinematography. The casting was as good as the first one, especially for the newer characters. My favorite part of this movie was actually Austin Butler’s portrayal of Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. Having read the read the book prior to this, I couldn’t help but nitpick a lot of the minor differences. There were also key moments and characters that contributed to the plot in the book that got left out of the movie. This can be understandable due to the fact the book is around 800 pages.

Silverado 1985
Overall a fun western movie. Would like to see westerns like this get made more often. The set pieces and gunfights were very good. Cast was very good but Danny Glover in my opinion was the standout. Felt the only real weakness of this movie was the pacing of the story.
