  Brittany and her team delivered an incredibly beautiful and attentive look into the lives of Black farmers in the South. I was hyped to see this US grand jury winner and was absolutely floored by some of the best cinematography I’ve ever seen in a documentary. You could take stills from every minute of this movie and flood a gallery at the MoMA. Through idyllic landscapes, intimate portraits, and captivating scenes of farm life, Seeds illustrates both a heartening sense of community and a disheartening reality of Black farmers struggling to survive in a world that favors their white counterparts
