The King Tide 2023
great slow burn thriller, well acted by a whole cast of people i’ve mostly never seen before besides frances fisher. its very much like the mist in its themes and setup but this was still different and original enough that it’s similarities to that movie aren’t copied or a problem in any way. the ending was gratifying to me, a proper ending to this kind of story for sure. i love the mist and everything that movie explores so this was a treat to see those themes explored in a different environment and set of circumstances
