    I Will Cross Tomorrow

A film combining some of the past decade's most enduring images – war in Syria, economic crisis in Greece, refugee crisis in the Aegean – but unable to say anything meaningful about either.

What is worse, the film loses itself in hokey plot contrivances and painfully staged dialogue that makes it feel almost crass in its attitudes to the characters depicted.

Alternates between playful and sober observations about the lives Overseas Filipino Workers – a marvel of a documentary feature.

The film firmly has its eyes on the women who choose to blend into backgrounds abroad to support their families who remain at home, thereby giving up so much of themselves. Rather than focus on what they lack, it carefully reveals their wits and worries, and thereby offers a much fuller and more empathetic vision of their existences.
