Soooo good. This movie can be a slow burn, and it makes sense why. The main character at the beginning is a emotionless robot, but as you get through the film, you get to see the robot develop emotions and start to care about others and become more human like.

So the longer you watch the movie, the more attached you become to the robot because you watched it grow emotionally so much. Really interesting concept, I need to watch watch flow because I don’t understand how this didn’t win best animated at the Oscars.

A lot wrong with this movie. They tried really hard to make it suspenseful, but it just didn’t work. Didn’t feel any connection to the characters.

Also they made the control room like an avengers SHIELD type of vibe and it just didn’t feel real. And why was everyone in it dressed like top secret government employees?

And they introduce all these different “teams” of divers only to not show the other teams at all after introducing them.

    I understand…

Animation and comedy style reminiscent of Kung Fu Panda 3, but better in my opinion.

If this studio started making English movies I think it would bankrupt the big animation studios here in the US (most americans are too closed minded to watch something that wasn’t made in English, even with a dubbed version). However there’s no reason for them to make English movies seeing that they’ve made $2 billion dollars without it.

Also the fact that I just sat through a 2 1/2 hour long animated film without getting bored is shocking.

    Impeccable storytelling, incredible film.

Great cinematography. The location they shot at was perfect for this film. It felt grand and expensive.

Story was good, what really just doesn’t sit right with me as the ending. It felt so incredibly anti-climactic they could have done so much more with this. The whole movie was leading up to the idea that the pope was murdered or something like that. They could have made the dude they elected at end actually be someone from another religion taking over the catholic church, which is what I thought was going to happen considering they talked about race and different regions and religions the entire movie.
