Not a fan of this one honestly. I'm usually a fan of slow burn horror movies, but this one felt criminally slow and by the time the scares started to unfold I was underwhelmed.

Having just watched Serpico last night, this film fulfills all the unsatisfied feelings I had after watching that.
This was a fun watch. It's fast-paced, engaging, easy to follow, and the performances are exceptional. It's a classic rags-to-riches arc that follows Denzel's rise and fall as a mob boss, and it's great. It's not breaking any new ground or showing the characters in any profound new light, but it knows what it is and it's done well.
