The Thing 1982

Flares, flamethrowers, and (bloody, drippy) flesh, this movie delivers. The horror classic holds up well, with a great cast and entertaining performances, and wonderfully grotesque special effects of the thing in its many forms.

Dune 2021
Watched Dune again in anticipation of seeing Dune2, and I enjoyed it even more than the first. Beautifully shot and creating amazing and believable worlds, which helps compensate for the slow pace. But knowing it is building to Dune2, which is now in theaters, made me more accepting of the limitations and cliffhanger, and eager to see what comes next. Ps Loved Jason Momoa’s performance.
