    Finch is the highlight with his 2 main speeches, the famous one and the prescient one. Beyond that it limps along with a ponderous and predictable narrative, a poor performance from Dunaway and a completely unnecessary romantic sub-plot. See YouTube for the speeches, you can ditch the rest.

    Superb play almost successfully transposed to film. Alec Baldwin's character is a clever addition for set-up and is acted well. Pacino is mesmerising but head, shoulders, arms, hips, thighs and toes above everyone else is Jack Lemmon. A performance of such exquisite delivery and character that it barely seems possible. Kevin Spacey is lackluster and dull and I'm not saying that because of recent scandals (see good review for Baldwin above).
