  genius plot, idyllic cinematography, iconic soundtrack and such an interesting character progression for michael. from shying away from the family business to the shift in his face when he ran to the photo booth and ultimately mirroring the way his dad operated in the baptism scene. wow. 

  loved the use of music and how it was melancholic rather than  powerful and oppressive - power move fr 

  special mention to the cars and the sicilian village 🙌🏼💌

  “gazing up at the dark sky spangled with its signs and stars, for the first time, the first, I laid my heart open to the benign indifference of the universe” 

  
  good book to film adaptation (though not the same effect as camus’ language)

   i especially loved how, in the beach scene, the lighting was so intense - it almost makes sense as to how the sun acted as the driving force his act 😮

  watching the ending was so confusing but thinking back, the pieces are (to some extent) piecing together … it doesn’t make sense but it just works
