Sonic the Hedgehog 3 2024
This is a tough one. I set a very high bar for this movie considering the source material (Sonic Adventure 2) that it is based on. That being said, it was hard to feel like this was a watered down version of that game’s story. It felt a bit rushed and would have loved to see some more time put into shadow’s eventual turn. Overall, it was a good movie and a fun time to watch. Loved hearing live and learn on the big screen.

I’m a little late to the party, especially with my proclivity to Sonic. I really enjoyed this movie. So many little Easter eggs for Sonic fans, a solid plot, meaningful character moments/arcs, and I actually liked the beats involving the humans. The 24 year old me is satisfied and the 8 year old me running around the house with his hands behind his back, happy as could be.
