  Every single idea of the film could be synthesized in a pink dress. The grandmother of Frida and Ana gives a present to the little girls: a nightgown.   Cuarón operates as director, writer and cinematographer in Roma. He visualized his homegrown narrative in black and white. The film was shot in colour, in order to compose lighting, but then converted into monochrome. This aesthetic appearance reaffirms the remains from Cuarón's memory.
