  they clearly wanted this to be some dystopian / black mirror / “guys, we’re also kinda artsy cause look at our color grading and random tracking shots that add nothing, but we thought looked cool” type film — yet lacked any twists or remotely thrilling plot lines. the scenes / pacing were disjointed, and the cgi was awful. lazy and predictable writing - you don’t feel remotely connected to the characters at all. the kids (especially the little girl) were seriously pissing me off (i hate friends). unsurprisingly, it was a flop
