I initially gave this 4.5 stars but upon reflection, I’m giving it 5. Literally have not stopped thinking about this film since finishing it. The writing, casting and cinematography are some of the best I’ve ever seen in a film. But there is SO much to unpack here in terms of themes, symbolism, the characters’ relationships to one another.
This might be my new favorite Villeneuve movie - and I’m a HUGE fan of the dune and blade runner franchises.
