Doctor Who: Wild Blue Yonder 2023

From what was a kiddy opener it feels like Doctor Who has once again matured back to the show I knew in 2009. Despite CGI of dubious quality this was a return to form for RTD, a clever scenario that pushed the characters (and actors) in it to open up and display real emotion without having to stop the plot altogether (a rare feature in the who of Chibnall).

I hope the world of animated film continues in this direction of beautiful art-direction and good writing that’s emerged over the past few years. Ngl aside from Trolls DreamWorks are really leading the charge on that front and Puss In Boots really showed it, Pixar are just left playing animated catch-up rn.
