Surprisingly hilarious since I was expecting a more serious slasher style movie. A fun premise, quality acting, and some quality on-the-nose bashing make this one entertaining the whole way through!

Worth watching even if it's just for a really fascinating look into one of the most effective surveillance states of our time. Some incredibly heartbreaking acting here that really carries the film, especially from Ulrich Mühe.

The Double Life of Véronique 1991
This was so disappointing, especially since I loved the Three Colors trilogy so much. The cinematography and color grade for Véronique is phenomenal, with an ever-present yellow-green filter that captures the melancholic mood so well. The score is also phenomenal and used in a really impactful way to tie together two different lives. Irene Jacob does a great job at portraying two characters and really captures the vivacious energy of Weronika especially.

Civil War 2024
Didn't expect this to be so intense! Honestly one of the better war movies I've seen. The portrayal of war torn America makes it a lot easier to relate to compared to most war movies, and the battle set-pieces are phenomenal and tense as fuck. Unfortunately I didn't really care about any of the main characters and the voyeuristic way they viewed the carnage. The needle drops were also really jarring in way that didn't really add to the film at all in my opinion.
