  Got a warning sign when this film's running time didn't start with 7 or an 8. Really, really wish I liked this more than I did but man did I check the running time every ten minutes for basically the entire film. Really didn't dig the weird videogame structure and found the setpieces almost infuriatingly repetitive.   There's been a lot of talk recently about whether any book is really "unfilmable", and the recent (and in my opinion, great) adaptations of Life Of Pi and Cloud Atlas are usually used as examples that any book can be made into a film with the right adaptation.
