As someone who is very beginner at photography it was meaningful to see a powerful example of its art form.
This movie is good.
The sound design was excellent. It wasn’t bombastic, but it wasn’t lifeless. Even the silence felt powerful.
I’ve got more to say, but not in a review.

Dear Santa 2024
You ever watch a marathon and root for the tired runner who’s approaching the finish line. Everyone’s cheering and the flash bulbs are going off. Truly a sight to see. Then the runner trips. Tragic. Passed the line, but teeth broken and the tape at the end didn’t even get ripped. Just a crinkled humunculous of a person slothed out on the floor.
TL:DR; This movie was better than a Hallmark, but didn’t stick the landing in literally the last few minutes.

Mufasa: The Lion King 2024
The story was good, but felt strangely rushed. I don’t know how to put this other than it felt like the dialogue was playing at x1.25 speed.
It didn’t help that lively music would play just as dramatic tension was building. Timon and Pumbaa also never felt like they fit very well.
Overall, a good story distracted with noise.
