The Wind That Shakes the Barley 2006
As soon as I saw it, The Wind That Shakes the Barley immediately went straight to the top of my favourite films. Not only is the cinematography incredible, but the acting from ever member is immaculate, conveying the brutality and horror that was aimed at the Irish. It shows the awful racism given demonstrated by the English. However, it doesn't stop there, and Ken Loach masterfully tells the story of how brothers fighting side by side, ended up fighting one another, turning Ireland into a land of turmoil and sectarian violence for the next 60+ yrs to come.
