The storyline is interesting enough, I guess. The songs, though? ROUGH. It honestly felt like they wanted to make a gritty drama and were forced to insert random musical numbers at gun point.
Minus one star because I cannot believe that none of the main cast are Mexican actors (which is painfully obvious if you're Mexican/speak Spanish). Like, we have our own film industry with tons of talented actors, you're telling me you couldn't contact ANY of them? Also the non-Mexican director admits to doing zero research for this movie and it honestly shows. Come on man, you could at least hire a script consultant.
