The English Patient 1996
They wanted the relationships to be intense and deep but this didn’t really come across so when she said “I’ve always loved you” and put that alongside intense and dramatic violins, it felt like a parody. In reference to the book things were added in that didn’t do anything for the film and things were omitted that were central to characters being there.
