  There are good concepts for at least four different movies buried within Mickey 17, but they all end up suffocating each other. So many intriguing ideas are introduced only to be left undeveloped, it's a profoundly unsatisfying experience. This movie would have worked much better as a season of TV, with a dozen episodes giving all these ideas room to breathe.

  maybe the most beautiful looking movie ive ever seen.

  late evening, coming into town with a storm above you and the sunset ahead, deep orange light reflecting off a damp road. perhaps also the single most beautiful shot i have ever seen.
