I was live "tweeting" on Mastodon my impressions of this direct to video wonder. Nevertheless, te film has a nice cinematography (and looks like it was a remastered copy I watched in StarMovies) and decent action scenes. BUT, the protagonist (in double dose) has the charisma of a mud brick.
    My "live" comments, with SPOILERS:
Today's afternoon movie is "KILLING STREETS" aka Beirute, Zona de Alto Risco (1991) with Michael Paré and Lorenzo Lamas.

It may sound a funny thing to say about a movie with the Red Hulk and heroes like the Falcon and the new Captain America, but this may be the most intimate MCU film till now. And at the same time, a great action and a little thriller movie. I really like the new Falcon and the forgotten Captain America and the secondary characters have charisma and time to shine.

I only watched a few minutes of the movie a few years ago, and all that dark CGI water and ambient put me of of it.
But, yesterday I was zapping and catched the beginning and stayed because of the freaking disformed rock angels and other biblical (?*) weirdness.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

    ★★½

A disappointing final chapter of a unnecessary trilogy. What could be a nice standalone chapter, was engorged with lots of new feeble connections to the LOTR trilogy. A mess of bad execution, laziness and CGI rubbish. Even the occasional eye candy falls short in a sea of confusion. So much that is the only one I didn't watched in a large screen, and only catched it on TV

An experiment in simultaneously humanizing and de-humanizing the creatures we were raised to expect to be cute and funny. Funny, gross and tragic. I can't recommend enough!

Very interesting film that combines folklore of terror with domestic situations more or less unexpected, to create a sinister film, which is not far behind what can be done abroad, and if survives the crushing critique of pseudo-intellectual will be in the history of Portuguese cinema by its own right.
