I think this film is most likely a bona fide Masterpiece. Better cinematography I do not recall. Extremely authentic piece of work, from head to toe. Excellent acting from the entire cast. Great set design, costuming, directing, editing, the whole shabang.

The film gives a real sense of feel of the environment the characters inhabit. I really felt like I was out and about in New York City. Every little note rang True. I loved the realism, and yet there…

Phenomenal cinematography. The camera is all over the main character like white on rice -- a very unique style of shooting that, at the moment, I do not recall ever having seen utilized before. It really helps us, the viewers, to see things from Saul's perspective in a way that enhances our focus on what is happening, and the emotional impact it creates. It is almost impossible to take one's eyes off the screen. It is riveting.

(saw at Marcus Majestic Cinema, at the 7:00 pm showing, in Auditorium 12, in what is almost certainly my preferred seat, H10. G10 is the only other seat I miiiiiiiiiiiight??? prefer over H10, but probably Not. There were a verrrrrry roughly estimated 10 - 13 other people in the auditorium. There was roughly 10 - 15 minutes of previews. Not certain, but it verrrrrrrry well may have been a whopping 25 years since I had seen this Classic. Sooo glad…

Hiiiighly original film. This film was clearly made by a director with a vision, who was not the leeeeeast bit afraid of just going for it and not pulling any punches. And that is something I can alllllways appreciate and respect.

You have scarcely ever seen another film like it, that is for sure.

There were several outstanding shots by the cinematographer that any True fan of great cinematography should thoroughly enjoy.

(Saw at AMC, with Noel. About three or four other people in the theater. 82/100)

Wow ... wow ... wow ... if this movie sucked any harder, it would be a black hole. I think the CIA must use this movie to torture high value terrorists suspected of having key information about imminent attacks. Ten minutes of being forced to watch this pile o' shhh... is likely to force a full confession from anyone who isn't seriously masochistic, or cursed with coprophagia.

Rating this sewer scum on the five star system brought to my attention…

My All-Time Favorite film. I am, and always have been, a True 'Hopeless Romantic.' I don't know of any other film that is better made for those such as I. It is romantic, through and through, as well as funny, Charming, clever, enchanting, sweet, quirky, genuine, authentic, sincere, passionate and so on. Just a True delight!

I fell in love with Sally Hawkins in this film. She also made me tear up, a little bit, a few times.
The emotion on her face and in her eyes was captivating and astonishing. Her smile is electric and divine. She maaaaade this Film. I can't think of anyone else playing her part. Sheeeeeee was made for that part. The Film works for mannnnny reasons, and mowwwwwst of all, because of her. I think she should definitely be at…

Ohhh what a most pleasant surprise. This film was a pure delight! I liked it muuuch more than I had ever expected to. An excellent acting performance by all. I was verrry surprised with how good the music was by this young, fictitious band in a low budget indie film. Made ya think and reeeeeally believe that they Truuuly wouuuld one day make it BIG, and probably relatively soon. I loved the writing, direction, acting, editing, etc -- I loved…

You have never seen anything like this film, that I can guarantee. This film is most certainly quite odd, peculiar, strange, weird, and bizarre, but it's definitely not short on originality and creativity. And to anyone that doesn't appreciate that, this film is most likely not for you. This film also does something I value very much, and that is it shows a true respect for the audience, and its intelligence. It assumes you are capable of understanding things past…

I have a 'talent'; I can smell huge piles of craaap from miiiiiiiles away. Unfortunately, I have seen several different trailers for this PoS, numerous times. And that is more than enough for me to see exactly what this movie is all about. This movie is, without a doubt, a Huuuuuuuge steeeaming pile o' CRAAAAP. Dark, dismal, muddy, dystopian, bleak, depressing, gloomy, overcast, boring, stupid, highly predictable, poorly acted, bland, and has one helllll of an annoying Lex Luther. Jessie…

(personal notes to self: saw the 4 pm showing with Noel at AMC Oakview, in Auditorium 5, w/ Noel in seat F8 and me in seat F9. About roughly 3/4 of the way through the film, two douchebags sitting two and three seats to Noel's right started yapping out loud like they were the only people in the theater, and after I looked at them harrrrrd, trying to give them an opportunity to get a big clue to shut their…

A brilliant game of social chess. One of the best comedies I have seen in a long time. Emma Stone is superb.

The direction, editing, cinematography, set direction, set design, screenplay, acting, costume design, sound, etc, etc., etc. were all sublime and exquisite. A very strong contender for Best Film of the Year, in a year that is a strong contender for the Worst Year in the History of Cinema.
