  An uncomfortable portrayal of the toxicity in chivalry amongst kings, lords, knights and their counsel. Depicting a 'love' triangle (quite scalene and not acute one, either) from each of its 3 points, the ugly truth of one woman's existence in a heavily patriarchal system is exposed.
  With many themes are left to be inferred and pacing all over the place, it's classic Ridley. great performances if not gritty graphic and grungy
