I really enjoyed this, and it was fun to see with an appreciative audience (Capitolfest 21). A great comedy about meteorology. Go figure. It got me musing about other comedies where a meteorologist is front and center. The two that came immediately to mind are Groundhog Day and L.A. Story. They are not about meteorology in the way Let's Get Married decidedly is, but both feature weathermen as the protagonists. And both are excellent comedies; I would say in fact…

A good-looking print from Eastman House (and good live score from Phil Carli at the Capitolfest screening I saw) made this rather slight story pretty engrossing. One of those movies where you kind of want to slap some sense into the protagonist (well played here by John Gilbert).

Kind of like a zombie movie that complains that the zombies don't pay taxes but ignores all the brain eating. It's a film about the KKK with no mention of, or reference to, white supremacy. Still well worth watching, with excellent performances from Ginger Rogers and Steve Cochran in particular. If you accept its strange terms, you can appreciate its effectiveness: suspenseful and frequently chilling, especially as it approaches and reaches its climax.

Briskly paced psychological thriller with some genuinely creepy moments, a good central performance by Aline MacMahon, and lots of interesting supporting players.
