Infuriating
There were points through this film where I was really starting to enjoy it and then it would all come crumbling down due to the film breaking out into song, Iโve always disliked musicals however this was particularly infuriating as it was bringing in the musical part at every moment I could feel my interest growing.
Speechless, Iโm truly speechless. Masterpiece.
Stunning
โPurple Moonโ is a visually stunning film, itโs cinematography, and set design is spectacular but itโs a very sinister film thatโs executed pretty well.
I do however have issues with the film, I didnโt find any of the characters particularly intriguing and found the story to be dull at times (particularly to begin the film) I also wasnโt a fan of the music choice throughout the film.
Thereโs some great in this film and some bad but the final scene is spectacular and ties the story to an end perfectly.
Visual Storytelling
โLe Samouraรฏโ is possibly the best example of visual storytelling Iโve ever seen, no useless dialogue only words with meaning that directly tie into the plot and it combines that with amazing cinematography and sound design which makes you feel like you always know where you are in the film but not where itโs going.
Thereโs so much to love about this film but the final half an hour is possibly the best Iโve ever seen from a film, an enthralling cat and mouse chase executed with extreme originality, and then it finishes with a spectacular final scene. Masterpiece.
