An interesting concept that sets up a playground for possible stories to take place. But I’m in the reality where this movie doesn’t deliver satisfaction on its premise. On paper there’s a lot of great ideas but I think the pacing was too slow then too fast, somethings were not executed well, and the ending is exactly what you’d expect.
Not to mention the acting was noticeable at times.
Only recommended to fans of the multi-verse. Recommend Primer or the show Counterpart instead.

Tom got extremely lucky that he landed the job with SoD like he did, a chance rescue on a ship at sea impressed him? So the KGB got lucky with their mole
Why would the KGB want Tom to seduce Susan? Being “the other man” isn’t exactly a door to introduction or getting closer to the SoD
The only implication of the twist is that Tom would be potentially charged with being a mole…what he actually is…so his outcome is…
Like watching a novel, for better or for worse. Superbly made but I couldn’t help feeling like I wanted more from the character, Earnest.
Brightburn should be pitched as a smaller budget, campy, gore-fest horror film. If those dimensions and the concept of an evil child Superman interest you, I have good news. It’s short and tight enough to keep you interested for 90 minutes but has some obvious weaknesses.
