Home Alone 1990
It’s not the hard hitting cinema of my other 5 stars, nor do I think I’ll rate that many kids movies, but even the grinch that I am gets so happy and nostalgic for Home Alone, my favorite Christmas movie of all time. I haven’t seen all the Christmas movies (nor do I really want to), but I know that nothing will ever dethrone little Kevin McCallister from the #1 spot in my heart.

Wow, I was not prepared for how much I would enjoy this movie. I wasn’t expecting the characters to be so well written, especially on the frat house’s side of the battlegrounds. There were a lot of actual tender moments tucked in with some good ol raunchy jokes, relatable moments, and even some always appreciated slapstick humor. Also, Rose Byrne had just as many MILF moments as tender looks into motherhood struggles, which as a lesbian who loves well written women, was a big plus for me. Bros before hoes though, iykwim.
