I went into this movie completely blind to the plot. It is definitely not what I expected but still very enjoyable, interesting and it had great characters.

I really wanted to enjoy this film. It's premise seemed fun and it has some fun cast members.
However I have to admit I honestly forced myself to go to sleep midway through the movie because I was so bored and wanted to skip some of it. I woke up about 30 minutes later and was still able to completely follow the plot with no issue or questions. This probably suggests how much of this film is pointless.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning 2023
Great actors, some thrilling action sequences and some great comedic moments. Let down a bit by the plot/writing in some places and the villain (Gabriel) not being particularly threatening/intimidating.
Overall an enjoyable film that is worth a watch. However probably sits about 5th or 6th in my Mission Impossible rankings currently. Although the previous films did set a high bar.

As with most films of this genre, watch it expecting a movie masterpiece and you will be disappointed. Watch it expecting a silly fun film that is suitable for all the family and it delivers on all of that.
