"The Big Short" was the dark horse of this year's Oscar race, and, though only coming away with one win (for Best Adapted Screenplay), it still stands head and shoulders above most other competition.
In terms of style, The Big Short is top of the class. It uses shaky-cam to brilliant effect, and features clever cameos and unexplained references that cranks the fun factor up to ten, and the wit on show here is first-class.
