Although it’s slow moving for the entirety of the movie, I feel like that just adds to the pure agony and uncertainty that this movie radiates. It’s that childhood fear of waking up in the middle of the night only to see that the sleep timer on your TV is off. It’s running to turn on the hall light so you can timidly run to the bathroom at night. It’s one of the most unique movies i’ve ever seen in that it perfectly captures a universal fear that I never thought could be captured in cinema.
