I understand that it’s a comedy, so lemme get that out of the way: Yes. it’s got funny moments.
This movie was obviously trying to be something. Trying to do something. It didn’t. I’m sorry, but it didn’t.
Goldie’s character, throughout the entire film, can’t decide between trying to be friends with her players or demanding respect from them. A “powerful” female protagonist isn’t “powerful” if she simply brushes it off when boys are being boys.

As a stand-alone adventure/exploration movie, I think this film does very well. It keeps you engaged for almost the entire time and creates an atmosphere real enough for the audience to feel like they’re in it with the main characters.
One thing that I must commend the film on is the fight choreography and actions sequences. Some scenes were more brutal than I expected and gave me just enough to stay on the edge of my seat. Very impressive and…

I would say this movie is too predictable, but it’s not entirely true. It hits all the wrong beats as a romantic story and just drops things into the story without having developed them beforehand.
Now, this movie is also a mental health awareness movie. I do support and admire a movie that does that. However, and this goes specifically for the character with bulimia, stuff just gets put into the story without having any sort of context or reasoning.…
