"Pure Cinema," so called, is rare these days. What is that?

    No dialogue. What. So. Ever.

Pictures these days, yap yap yap for the most part. And many comedies today, as Tony&Taylor from the wonderful youtube series (now back in action!), "Every Frame a Painting," are really nothing but lightly edited improv. We're forgetting our cinematic roots in so many ways. The closer you can get to, "You can turn the sound off and still follow the story," the better.…

    Dear Tom,

We think that finding that "someone," will make you happy forever. Nope. We think that finding that perfect partner will make everything okay. Nope. We must stop looking for other people to make us happy to validate us. No one can fix you but you and you alone.

I love this picture so much.

It scared the s--t out of me and I love that it did. A two-part mini-series adapted from Stephen King's best (my personal favorite as well) from 2004, this is the best of the 3 adaptations.

    First, the…

I found this film decent. My biggest criticism is that the film stretches believability that this kid could learn to defend himself that quickly. It went on a bit too long, not all the jokes hit.

    YET.

This is the way. If you are getting picked on, learn to fight and fight back hard. "Get a teacher," is how you destroy a society.

    Suck it, bullies.
