M-A-S-T-E-R-P-I-E-C-E… I think?
I could have sat through another half an hour of that and I REALLY wanted to. There’s so much to absorb immediately after watching it but my main takeaway is how extraordinary the atmosphere was - I wanna sit in this film for days on end.
My dad fell asleep and my mum wasn’t impressed... I have since moved to live in Northern Italy, I have disowned them of their family status, I have changed my phone number and my name is now ‘Elio Olivandria’. I’ve found a lovely cave just underneath that waterfall and I have used my skill at finger painting to recreate Michael Stuhlbarg’s wonderful beard.
Oh and I now eat nothing but peaches.
Immediate thoughts are very strong. Licorice Pizza is a feel-good movie, a coming of age comedy full of nostalgia, with a fantastic cast of characters and an incredibly high laugh rate.
I’ve started hearing that this film sticks with you for days after seeing it and I can absolutely see that happening.
