  Stunning animation, what looks so simple creates some of the most breathtaking images I've seen in animation. If anyone ever argues against animation as a medium, some of the shots from the movie (running away from the palace especially) could serve as a contradiction. Perhaps a bit too long, possibly melodramatic at points. However do these moments overshadow the movie? Absolutely not. The best example of the 'unruly princess' trope, so endearing and thank Studio Ghibli for putting out such inventive animation.

  Really didn't expect this to be one of my favourite Ghibli films, but it was so endearing, heartwarming and overall a beautiful story.
