Heading in I thought it would be a classic mystery with a twist, but I was in for another kind of experience. I was not familiar with David Lynch’s work, and this was a great introduction.
Although a bit absurd and wacky, the character work shines. The dialogue is great, but the real details are in the reactions and cinematography. The use of color, framing, and creative camera placements help decipher what you are seeing. I know there’s no way I caught all the little details, which is testament to the quality of the film. Fun experience, had a few laughs and big reactions
This movie was not made for me to understand, yet it elicited exactly the emotions it wanted from me. I was confused, sad, unsure of the characters’ motivations and true nature. The imagery and symbolism, sparse but poignant dialogue, cinematography, and setting all make this movie a truly beautiful experience.

Disorienting and tragic. Starts off lookin fun, “lol they’re giggling so much 😝”, then very obviously goes from bad to worse very quickly. Don’t do drugs
