Raincoat 2004
It's a gem of a movie. It doesn't romanticize love, but shows it to be about selfless care. Rituparno Ghosh was a master of showcasing layered characters with empathy. The film is about long lost lovers meeting again after several years. Their past, their present situations, their familiarity and their distances all come at play in this meeting. A raincoat here is shared and so is their love. Love is not about grandiose gestures here.
