  finally watched this and I got the sense that the book surely offers a lot more in terms of caring about these two and their push and pull throughout…? otherwise this just felt a bit bumpy with strange pacing. the music and shot composition are lovely, though. and yeah, the “Mrs. Darcy, Mrs. Darcy, Mrs. Darcy…” had me kicking my feet still!!

  seeing this in 70mm IMAX in a DOME theater was the wildest experience. was totally immersed aside from growing more and more uncomfortable with my knees jammed into the seat in front of me and my neck cranked back… worth it though. the propulsion of this film’s pace and the use of sound and silence and the experimentation UGH nolan, man. well done. cannot wait to see it again, this time in a more comfortable seat!

  the look, feel, sound of this film was great (especially when we’re enveloped in 60s London), but some pieces didn’t quite work for me. without spoiling anything, the mental health angle was…questionable, at best. i didn’t see the twist coming, which i appreciate, but the twist wasn’t entirely satisfying in the way it played out.
