In the preface of his timeless love story Gunahon ka Devta, Dharamvir Bharati writes "For me, writing this book is like praying with full faith in the midst of pain, and even at this time, It feels like I am just repeating that prayer in my heart." I felt exactly like this while watching Laila Majnu. Enriched by its remarkable music, it feels like a heart-wrenchingly beautiful poem which leaves you with a lump in your throat. I don't think I'll ever be able to watch this masterpiece again.
