This was a fun, formulaic flick that will appeal to dads in particular, but the big surprise at the end was one of the mom’s actions (and lines). Great if you’re looking for a diversion and some chuckles.

I know you’re not supposed to call something “really unique,” but that’s what this movie was. From a viewer’s perspective, it was also very adult, but not for the reason you think — it let the viewer learn aspects of the plot incrementally as a result of the context rather than having one of the characters spoon feed everything. Also, I love a great ending to a movie!

I really liked the finale of the season, and it definitely left me wanting more, but I felt like it took too long to get there. They could have had the finale around mid-season and picked up the overall pace. Some may argue that it needed that slow buildup to make the finale more impactful, and although I agree to some extent, overall I thought it was too much of that and could have been trimmed. The acting is fantastic throughout, and I was amazed how much they conveyed just with facial expressions.
