  This film is just as good as it's shortened version, if not better! Like it's shortened counterpart, there are great visuals here, a very good score, and some masterful writing, with many thought provoking concepts. This extended version has a few improvements IMO, such as a lot more time to develop the characters and explore their lives in more detail.   An alright short horror film. An interesting Halloween watch, and although I would have like some more emotion and fear from this short, it worked decently well for what it was trying to do. The monster's design was pretty interesting and frightening, but overall, nothing really stood out to me that much in this short. Just kinda average.

  Honestly a really good film. The visuals are really good, and honestly have some really impressive effects in there, especially for 1951. The music/score throughout is good as well, adding suspense and excitement to much of the film. The writing is honestly really good as well, with a lot of different, well written philosophies and points of view from different characters, and I just think the characters are done very well. Even though the monster isn't a huge part of the film, it was still very good and a fun watch. This is probably the second best interpretation of "The Thing" I've seen!
