The New Romantic 2018
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The true light of the film really comes from the chemistry between Jessica Barden and Hayley Law, the latter of whom excels at making Barden's quintessential "good girl" protagonist endearing rather than aggravating. Aside from that, I will say that having her not continue to be a sugar baby with someone actually deserving of her and, instead, having her wind up with an individual who slut-shamed her certainly led to a disappointing ending.
