A movie that doesn’t try to subvert the genre at all and ends up being way too predictable. Too many long monologues no one wants to pay attention to. Caricatures instead of real people. Not enough suspense. Everything happens very quickly and then it’s all over.

Besides the cult wanting to kill those invited, it was never really made clear to me why they were scary? Let them shuck those oysters idc

Rob Pat is such a weird little guy and such an immense talent I am an awe of every character he brings to the screen. The differentiation between 17 and 18 was insane!!
I absolutely loved the world built in this! It felt so full and lived in, I just wanted to pause the movie, jump into the screen, and run around the space ship/station myself and explore. I love it…

not always sure what was happening, lots of espionage lingo and mumbled English accents, but I do know that cate blanchett can do literally no wrongs. my god. what a woman.
also the one shot tracking scene at the beginning was v nice but kind of random since it didn’t really follow that style at all for the rest of the movie. ah well. costume design, set dec, and practicals were all so good I don’t even care
