In many ways the pinnacle of Fox's X-Men franchise. Bringing together casts new and old, it manages to juggle both and satisfy with a thoroughly engaging event picture.

A great popcorn ride! This does exactly what it says on the tin, essentially another watered down (I'm sorry) Alien, much like Life.

However, it knows exactly what it is, while offering some great practical effects, sets and Gears of War style suits. This isn't at the point of switch-your-brain-off fun, but then again, sometimes that is exactly what you need.
