  Watched it again because it’s Thursday October 31st. This movie is so thematically tight, visually appealing, AND fun to watch. Straight up brilliant action. I’m always having a fun time with how they acknowledge Batman is a weapons grade freak, a grown man in a leather suit and a shocking amount of eyeliner who punches people who’s also a rich pasty shut-in who’s never had a girlfriend. Can’t help but feel it’s very loyal to the source material as more of a noir detective movie than a superhero film. It’s very Batman: Year One. One of my fave movies ever.
