Didn’t expect this one to get political I guess? I think the Trumpian parts of this movie distracted me from being able to fully enjoy it and appreciate it more for the irreverent thrill ride that it was. Once I saw the Stephen Miller look alike I knew I wasn’t going to be able to focus much on the rest. Sign of the times I guess.
That said, it’s a great looking movie and has plenty of funny and eccentric…
Absolutely loved this one. Don’t let the run time scare you off, it goes by quickly and flows effortlessly from moment to moment. Normally with movies this long I feel like there’s anywhere from 20-60 minutes of superfluous scenes that could easily be cut out, but every moment of this movie felt carefully curated and crafted, keeping me immersed and interested the entire time.
Gorgeous scenery and motion capture throughout that on its own made this movie stand out above…
Slowly making my way through all the Miyazaki films for the first time, and this one definitely separated itself in a distinct and enjoyable way. Can’t say enough good things about this film, had my attention locked on the screen from start to finish.
